Recent research revealed that one in ten people who become infected with coronavirus will continue to experience symptoms after 12 weeks. It’s believed that 57,000 to 78,000 Ontario residents are affected by the Coronavirus at present.
Long-haulers’ lives are drastically altered. In one research that followed up with patients 12 months after the initial COVID-19 infection, 12% of COVID-19 long-haulers had not returned to work at all, and of those who did return, a quarter were unable to take on as many responsibilities as before.
