A study of more than 87,000 COVID-19 patients found that recovered patients face about a 60% increased risk of death from long-term complication of the virus in the 6 months of the initial infection compared to people who never tested positive.

Some of the fatal illness that occurred after a COVID-19 infection were:

·      Heart failure

·      Stroke

·      Chronic kidney disease

If there was no death then there was a discovery of health issues of:

·      Hairloss

·      Heart palpitations

·      Anemia

·      Acid reflux

·      Organ damage

The study demonstrates that up to six months after a COVID-19 diagnosis, the risk of death following even a mild case is not trivial and increases with disease severity.
