A small growing number of people that have reported experiencing COVID Long Haulers symptoms are reporting improvements. After months being laid out from the COVID illness, some are feeling better after their vaccination.
Experts say about 10% and 30% of COVID patients develop long term symptoms including:
· Fatigue
· Chronic pain
· Brain fog
· Shortness of breath
· Gastrointestinal problems
Doctors are still not sure on how to treat COVID Long Haulers or even what causes it. Experts believe in two possible theories; one, that there may be remnants of the virus lingering in the body and two, certain elements of the immune system rev into overdrive after exposure of the virus, meaning the body is attacking itself.
COVID-19 vaccinations seem to help some people, while at the same time some people receiving the vaccination feel no relief, and others feel worse. Due to these scattered findings, experts still have no real understanding on what, how and why some suffer from COVID Long Haulers and others tend to recover while others don’t and some even get worse.
