4,600% Higher Death Rate For COVID Patients

A new study published by non-profit FAIR Health, reported  that a fifth of COVID patients without symptoms went on to experience consistent symptoms with COVID, a month after their diagnosis. These patients are called COVID Long Haulers. COVID Long Haulers persists as a public health issue affecting millions of Americans.

The findings in the new study showed an a new concerning issue for Long Haulers.

“The odds of dying 30 days or more after initially being diagnosed with COVID were 46 times higher for patients who were hospitalized with COVID and discharged compared to those who weren’t hospitalized.”

Scientists still don’t know what causes COVID patients to become Long Haulers. Theories range from an overactive immune system to remnants of the virus still being present in the body. What we do know, however, is that 10-40% of COVID survivors will become Long Haulers.
