There has been an FDA approved trial for the drug Leronlimab for the treatment of COVID “Long Haulers”. Their initial group of 56 people, received weekly injections of the drug. These people were analyzed and identified as Long Haulers.
The initial results are promising and patients are recording that 3 out of the 4 symptoms they are improving due to the injections. There still needs to be further data and analysis on the biomarkers of the patients.
A second study is needed with Leronlimab to see if it might be an effective treatment for those suffering from long-haulers by summer of 2022. The second stages are in the planning phase as of now.
