$40 Million Study Hopes To Help Children With COVID Long Haulers

The lack of knowledge about COVID-19, which has been around for less than one year, is troubling. We only have a bit more information than we had with chicken pox, a disease that we’ve known about since the 1940s!

Children’s National Hospital in Washington DC partnered up with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease to start a study on COVID Long Haulers. This study will explore the multisystem inflammatory it causes among children.

Scientists hope to better understand the long-term effects of chronic COVID on children’s lives through this study. This will help answer questions about how often and when kids experience negative consequences as a result of living with COVID day in and day out.
