COVID Patient, Now Vaccine Advocate

Stephanie Schroeder shared her experience with COVID-19.

Last March, COVID-19 was declared a national emergency and Stephanie Schroeder had taken all suggested precautions – staying home when possible, wearing a mask when she does let out of the house, staying away from crowds, washing her hands endlessly to stay healthy

In October, Schroeder tested positive for COVID-19. For the next four months, her life became a blur of hospitals and doctors fighting to keep her alive.

Her main preexisting health condition was being overweight and had since suffered two heart attacks and a host of other illnesses during the trip.

Schroeder has become a fervent advocate for vaccines, saying “you do not want this. I don’t wish it on anybody.”
