After Chronic Struggles, COVID Long Haulers Look For Support

Retired Northwestern University professor, Dr. Reinecke points out there is a need for more research. Despite scattered studies pointing to the same conclusion, Reinecke has come up with a strategy to help patients:

  • Create a national COVID-19 response headquarters to coordinate and develop evidence-based programs to address social and emotional consequences of the pandemic
  • Open community-based centers to treat chronic COVID conditions
  • Train medical professionals in evidence-based care of COVID-19

A consistent system and process to identify and label COVID-19 will better help and support those who are suffering to be treated properly.
