Canadian COVID-19 Report Reveals Cognitive Impairment

More than 1,000 people in Toronto did a survey that revealed they experienced cognitive impairment for months after their initial COVID-19 infection. This survey was conducted in hopes to support long haulers and to highlight the implications on brain health.

According to the study, more than 70% of people who conducted the survey had to take time off work and another 50% reduce their hours of work. More than 80% said their symptoms have lasted far past three months and nearly half are reporting symptoms lasting 11 months or longer.

The survey shows how COVID-19 can cause neurological damage and how Canada needs to take action on brain health to help survivors from long COVID.
