Recent research revealed that one in ten people who become infected with coronavirus will continue to experience symptoms after 12 weeks. Black residents in Los Angeles County have the highest COVID-19 hospitalization rate among all racial and ethnic groups, according to new data. Even as facility rates for all groups have stabilized or begun to decline, black people continue to experience higher levels of COVID-19 hospitalization than other races and ethnicities. The epidemic has exacerbated long-standing disparities , revealing who is most likely to succumb to the virus. Recently, health officials in Los Angeles County have identified hundreds of coronavirus infections at police and fire departments. They've resulted in nearly 2,500 coronavirus infections.
