Researchers have been following Amy P.'s progress since doctors confirmed last fall that she was a COVID-19 long-hauler; one of a small percentage of people infected whose symptoms persist for weeks or months longer than it usually takes for the disease to run its course. International Study Reveals List of COVID Long Haulers Symptoms

A review in Scientific Reports of COVID-19 patients across multiple countries sheds new light on the lingering "long-hauler" side effects of the virus. Analyzing a total of 18,000 publications, the report focused on data from 15 relevant studies concerning nearly 48,000 patients internationally. In the study, authors estimated that eighty percent of patients infected with COVID-19 would develop long-term symptoms.
