Scientists are who are currently researching Covid are discovering that it can have long-term consequences on the people who’ve contracted it. These people are called COVID Long HaulerThey hope that these studies will give them a better understanding of how to effectively treat those infected with or develop immunities against the disease. Being classified as “disabled” will provide services in schools and employment. A recent survey on people who developed long-lasting symptoms after contracting COVID-19 revealed that a people reported suffering from over 200 symptoms. Over 90% of people who responded to the survey, reported a total of 35 weeks to overcome the lingering effects of COVID. A build-up of immune cells and nerve damage in the eye can indicate COVID Long Haulers, a study may show. This preliminary study still needs verification from people who have other symptoms that could be attributed to COVID Long Hauler. One technique that researchers use to diagnose COVID Long Haulers is corneal confocal microscopy, which views the nerves in the eyes. The White House is not mandating the COVID-19 vaccine for White house staff, Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Friday. On Thursday, Psaki had suggested that every White House official was offered the opportunity to be vaccinated with COVID-19. However, she clarified on Friday that this was just an offer and not compulsory. Psaki refused to share a specific numeric figure on how many White House officials have been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, but said that they are able to track the number because "they are vaccinated here in our medical unit." As a result of new vaccines, the threat of severe illness and death has been diminished, but there are still millions who suffer from lingering effects. COVID affects 10-30% of people diagnosed by the virus with long-lasting symptoms lasting up to year. This condition is called COVID Long Haulers. Many doctors and researchers are looking into what, how and why people are suffering from these lingering effects for up to 6 months after COVID.
