Rose McBride spent 22 active years living an active lifestyle, including working out six to seven days a week.
She could lift weights at the gym, run a mile in nine minutes and go about her day afterward.
But in May of 2020, she tested positive for COVID-19. In the months leading up to her infection, the number of local cases was 200+.
When she became sick with COVID-19 in May 1920, she became a COVID “long hauler”; those who deal with symptoms for more than 28 days after infection. Interestingly Rose’s symptoms disappeared for the most part after she was vaccinated, but she still deals with some headaches and dizziness.
