COVID Longhaulers On The Rise In The United States

Healthcare providers are seeing an increase in people suffering from long-haul symptoms of COVID-19. Evidence in this is still anecdotal, many feel that the vaccination for COVID-19 is improving these symptoms:

·      Coughs

·      Aches

·      Brain fog

Evidence from NPR article includes 40% of 577 long-haul patients contracted by Survivor Corp Organization is reporting an improvement after receiving vaccinations.

Daniel Griffin of Columbia University reported that 23% of long-haul patients saw an increase in symptom resolution over the course of 3-6 weeks. It’s still too early to get ahead of ourselves to see if the vaccine takes out the virus, but there are numerous theories and treatment ideas that doctors, researcher and scientists are going over.

There are now clinics and programs specializing in the discovery and treatment of long-haul patients. Many are suggesting those who are suffering to seek help and support from these programs so the patient may get better and the doctors may be able to establish a better understanding of the symptoms so they can find the best way to treat people.
