According to a group of cardiologists at the University of California-San Diego, they are seeing a fair amount of COVID-19 survivors with Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, (POTS), a blood circulation disorder.
Experts don’t have a clear explanation for why COVID-19 long-haulers are exhibiting POTS symptoms. Some professionals believe it’s due to the virus creating inflammation and triggering autonomic antibodies that attack the nervous system.
POTS is considered a chronic condition and a variety of medications and therapy exercises can improve the quality of life. Seeking that these types of treatments may be beneficial for those with long-haul COVID.
