COVID Long Haulers has been poorly understood throughout the previous year and patients are frustrated. COVID Long patients are those who have been “recovered” from COVID-19 but are still suffering from symptoms that persist for much longer than 6 weeks, such as fatigue, headache, lack of appetite, depression, irritability, anxiety, cognitive difficulties and inability to concentrate. And these patients are growing understandably frustrated .
To make matters worse, it seems that breakthrough infections might induce long-term COVID symptoms. A recent Israeli study of about 1,500 vaccinated health care workers who were exposed to the virus, had 39 become infected and seven had symptoms that persisted for more than six weeks.
