More than 2 million people in the United States and the United Kingdom are suffering from long-haulers and while global figures vary, there is a common theory from studies. 14% of people who catch COVID-19 will have lingering symptoms surpassing a year for some. These people are called COVID “Long Haulers”.
So many cases of COVID that become long COVID cases tend to happen to people that contract it and have an asymptomatic response to a mild case of a sore throat, small cough . The initial effect of the virus is miniscule but then amplifies two to four weeks after the patient initially “recovers”.
Studies show that patients can suffer from over 40 different symptoms caused by COVID-19 that may last as little as four weeks all the way to 13 months in some cases now.
