The federal mask mandate for public transits stations is set to expire on March 18, 2022. While the Transportation Security Administration has extended the face mask requirement several times before, it is unlikely they will do the same this time around. States are now enforcing their own masking rules, individually. With only 30% of the country needing to mask, it is more acceptable for people to walk around without a mask.
