It is common for those who have been affected by COVID-19 to still experience procedural aftereffects long after the virus has left their system. This is called “Long Haulers” syndrome. Patients may face challenges such as walking and breathing until their bodies adjust to life without the virus, as well as irregular heartbeats, low levels of oxygen in their blood, and anxiety.
Sadly many patients are unable to get treatment or relief as there are no clear guidelines to diagnose Long Haulers. When they see their doctors, often times they are told they are “imagining” their symptoms
