In St. Louis, people suffering from long-haul COVID symptoms are readmitting to hospitals and taking up beds. While at the same time, COVID-19 admissions continue to stream in about 40 per day.
Doctors feel the push to have people get vaccinated because the shots have shown 95% protective against symptomatic COVID. Doctors also claim that the vaccine is not a cure or minimizes the spread of COVID, but does support a lower impact on symptoms.
