In Las Vegas, professionals are learning that there is a growing concern about the lingering impact on patient’s hearing for those suffering from Covid Long Haulers. This ailment is called tinnitus.
Studies show that anywhere between 5-15% of patients will get tinnitus after their infection and 3-8% will have sudden hearing loss.
Even though this might be a small number nationwide, the impact on these patients’ lives is still huge and impairing on their everyday lives.
Recently Kent Taylor, the CEO of Texas Roadhouse committed suicide due to severe tinnitus after being diagnosed with Covid Longhaulers.
There is no known cure for Tinnitus.
