New clinics in North Texas are also treating children for Long Covid

More than a year into the pandemic and there are still a lot of unknown factors for Long COVID. Symptoms range from mild to severe and there is no one rubric for which one can diagnose Long COVID.   The World Health Organizations estimates that 10% of  COVID cases still show symptoms past 12 weeks after testing positive for the virus. A recent study estimates that up to 20% of cases have lingering symptoms for at least 30 days and the same study found that 27% of patients had lingering symptoms for more than 60 days.  In the United Sates, there are about 33 million reported cases and Texas has 3 million of those cases.
