The White House is not mandating the COVID-19 vaccine for White house staff, Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Friday. On Thursday, Psaki had suggested that every White House official was offered the opportunity to be vaccinated with COVID-19. However, she clarified on Friday that this was just an offer and not compulsory.
Psaki refused to share a specific numeric figure on how many White House officials have been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, but said that they are able to track the number because “they are vaccinated here in our medical unit.”
