A poll has revealed that women in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, France, Italy, and Germany had a significantly worse response to Covid-19 when compared to men. They experienced the most disruption when it comes to future planning, community, mental health, access to healthcare, and financial stability. This has to do with the fact that women were more likely to lose their jobs and took on more work where they were left without compensation. There was a sharp increase in major depressive disorder, with women having the highest numbers.
