There are people suffering from lingering COVID-19 symptoms, known as ” COVID Long Haulers” who have reported that vaccinations seem to improve their condition. Now, scientists are launching a new study that will examine how vaccinations are affecting individuals that have been exhibiting long-term symptoms of COVID-19
Researchers are recruiting those are:
· 18 years and older
· Have not been vaccinated
· Had COVID-19 symptoms 2+ months
The process will consist of collecting blood and saliva samples before and after vaccination and look at the participants immune responses before and after their first and second shots.
With 10-40% of COVID-19 patients becoming “COVID Long Haulers, millions of Americans will be affected. Scientists hope that by completing this study they will support doctors in prescribing effective treatments.
