The Symptoms of COVID Long Haulers

As more people are being vaccinated, many are looking toward the end of the pandemic, but for some people, it’s going to be long from over. The long-term complications of the virus is predicted to last way after the pandemic.

A new study suggests that people that contracted COVID-19 and had a “mild” case, with no hospitalization may develop logn-term health complications that go far past damaging or scarring the lungs. 

Experts have found that there are clear signs that Long term effects may include kidney and heart disease that people should be aware of. 14.9 million people will be considered “long-haulers” that experience symptoms more than 4 weeks after the onset of COVID-19.

The symptoms to look for within Heartand kidney disease:

·      Chest discomfort

·      Pain/pressure that spreads to your arm

·      Sweating for no obvious reason

·      Irregular heartbeat

·      Exhaustion

·      Frequent need to urinate (foamy or blood in urine)

·      Swollen ankles/feet

·      Weight loss/poor appetite

Although not much is known about COVID-19 long-term complications and is still poorly understood, doctors are confident as time passes, they will come up with more effective strategies and treatments for those suffering.
