Requiring masks in K-12 schools cut Covid-19 infections, study shows

A report published by the CDC shows that masking in public K-12 schools helped with the decline in Covid-19 infections. Schools that required students and staff to wear masks had 23% fewer cases of Covid, on average, when compared to schools that chose not to establish a mask mandate. Hawaii will drop its mask mandate this month, the last state in the nation to do so

Governor David Ige has officially announced that the COVID-19 mask mandate for Hawaii will end on March 25, 2022. They are the last state to drop the indoor mask mandate. Nearly 90% of COVID patients who didn’t get critical care therapy they needed died despite being young and healthy, study says

ECMO is a recent medical breakthrough for immunocompromised and high risk COVID patients. Assessments were done to evaluate who was eligible to receive this treatment, and a second survey was completed to assess whether hospitals had the equipment to treat using ECMO.
