WHO Update on Omicron

The World Health Organization has designated the variant B.1.1.529 a variant of concern, dubbed Omicron, on the recommendation of the Technical Advisory Group for Virus Evolution (TAG-VE). This decision was made based on the TAG-VE’s findings that Omicron contains several variations that may have an impact on how it spreads.
